British International Motor Show update

IrelandCarTrade.com, 06.16.08

The British International Motor Show, sponsored by Zurich Connect, will host the UK’s largest gathering of cars and car makers when the doors open on 23 July, with over 60 manufacturers represented.  The line-up will include 15 marques making their debut at the ExCeL show. Among the names which will make their first appearance at the water-side venue are legendary Italian brands Ferrari and Maserati, who will each display their current range of luxury and sports cars.

Subaru and Suzuki will also be new to the ExCeL event, along with electric vehicle specialists Quiet Cars and Tesla.  These brands will be joined by nine other first-timers, including Westfield, Isuzu, Zagato, LSE, Brabus and AC Schnitzer.  Supercar manufacturers Koenigsegg and Gumpert and luxury sportscar firm Spyker complete the list.

Several manufacturers have already announced that they will use the Show for global debuts of their new vehicles, underlining the international significance of the exhibition.  Among these are some of the year’s most significant new cars, such as the Vauxhall/Opel Insignia and an all-new sports car from Lotus.  Many more manufacturers are expected to announce unveilings before the Show opens next month.
